I'm finding it quite hard to believe that we are coming into the last week of school before the Christmas break. I know how different these holidays will be but I'm hoping we find ways to enjoy it and make it special regardless of who we're with.

There are some special theme days next week:

Monday: Pyjama Day

Tuesday: Tinsel Day (wear something sparkly or attach something sparkly to yourself)

Wednesday: Red & Green Day

Thursday: Hat Day

Friday: Christmas Sweater Day

And here's what we're up to in class next week.

French Language Arts: We will be putting the finishing touches on our Winter Stories and trying to get through the Christmas Chapter of Alphabetique

English Language Arts: We are going to be finishing our Freckle Juice review and starting a little Christmas activity

Maths: We will start our look at 2 digit addition

Science and Social: Once again these are getting saved for the New Year while we finish Kids in the Know

Please stay tuned for more information regarding the week of online learning after the winter break. We are still working out scheduling, but please be aware that it will not be like the online learning in the spring. We will be covering all core subjects and students are expected to spend a significant amount of time engaged in learning each day.

Lastly I want to thanks Mlle. Brokenshire who has spent the last month in our classroom. Her last day will be on Thursday as she wraps up her first practicum with the University of Lethbridge. The kids have really enjoyed having her in the class and she's done a wonderful job teaching them. We wish her the best as she continues with her education.

Have a great week!
