And so ends another month of this school year. I'm a little flabbergasted at how fast the time is flying, and how we're now past the halfway mark of the school year.
We had a great week of learning and had some fun participating in the Malicounda drumming session on Wednesday.
Here's a look at what we're up to next week:
Maths: We are continuing our work with measurement. We will be measuring the perimeter of objects with centimeters and meters, and then looking at how to different shapes with the same perimeter.
French Language Arts: We are going to be taking a close look at adjectives this week which includes some work in Alphabétique, along with some other written and oral activities. We will be having dictée #11 on Wednesday and will be taking a bit of time to practice that on Monday and Tuesday as well.
English Language Arts: We are wrapping up our last informational book this week. Spelling Test #11 is on Friday and we will be working on that as well.
Sciences: We are starting our rocks and minerals unit, looking at the different parts of the earth this week.
Social Studies: We will be looking at the climate of India along with some Traditions. This will be our last week with India as we need to move on to Peru next week.
The virtual book fair runs this week at this link: Virtual Book Fair
There will be a sub in the class on Tuesday as I will be doing reading evaluations with the students that day.
I hope everyone has a wonderful week!
