Nov. 13th, 2020

I am happy to be back in the classroom and was grateful for the warm welcome I got from the students, but also missing being home with the young'n. Thank goodness for the weekend I guess so I can catch up on some snuggles.
We wrapped up our clothing donation drive and we are super happy with how much we were able to collect! Myself and Mme. Westwood will be bringing the items to the Sage Clan on Monday after school.
We will have some new faces in the classroom on Monday. We are having 2 students join us from the online class and we're all excited to see them on Monday. We are also welcoming Mme. Brokenshire into the classroom. She is a practicum student from the University of Lethbridge and will be with us until the December break.
Here's a peek at what we're up to next week.
French: We will be doing dictée #5 on Wednesday and will do some practice in class on Monday and Tuesday. We are also going to be continuing with Alphabetique looking at the liaison, the -en sound, and negative and positive sentences.
English: We are going to be starting a novel study of Freckle Juice by Judy Blume. The Spelling test #5 is on Friday, so we will be taking some time to practice that as well.
Science: We are going to start exploring the construction unit and discussing different structures and their materials.
Social Studies: We are going to start looking at India and learning some basic things about that country.
