Happy Halloween! We had an enjoyable Halloween party today, managing to only get through the first 40 minutes the Wizard of Oz, we’ll finish it next week. I hope everyone has an enjoyable and safe time trick or treating this weekend.

We’ve now filled three large uhaul boxes of donations. Thank you for your continued support.

We did some exploring of MyBlueprint last week. It is an online portfolio which allows students to share their work, reflections, and other interesting things. We will be working more and more with the platform as the year progresses, check it out here: https://app.myblueprint.ca/?sdid=lethbridge  and use your child's district email and password to log in.

On Monday we had a special guest join us for the day. Mme. Peddle, a student at the University of Lethbridge spent the day with us in preparation for her practicum. She will be with us again from November 15-December 16, observing, assisting, and teaching.

I’ll be getting home reading organized to go home this week. There’ll be an email with details coming later in the week.

The dictée/spelling notebooks went home with last week’s dictée and this week’s spelling test. Have a look and sign and return please.

Here’s a peek at what we’re doing next week:

French: We’ll be wrapping up filming our interviews while finishing up the first chapter of our Zigzag workbooks. We’ll also be practicing our dictée as we will be writing dictée #3 on Thursday.

Math: We’ll be putting the finishing touches on our Number unit with project that asks the students to show what they’ve learned over the unit.

English: We’ll be taking some time to work on some grammar and reading strategies this week, along with spelling practice.

Science: We’ll be creating some posters to create awareness of how to reduce the amount of waste we send to the landfill.

Social Studies: We are currently working on a powerpoint presentation about an Albertan provincial park.
