We've had some wild and windy days this week. I think about last years snowstorm that happened close to this date and I don't feel quite as bad about the wind. I just hope that my shingles hold on my roof as I had spent an afternoon up there this summer replacing some that got blown off last winter. Fingers crossed I guess.

We've had another full week back and I think some of us are a little tired but we powered through. Here's a look at where we're headed next week:

Maths: We made some increasing patterns and will be moving on to writing numerical increasing patterns. We'll make some, and also write a rule for making them.

Francais: We are having our first dictée on Wednesday. Be sure to take a few minutes each night to practice the words. It can be as simple as copying them down twice for each word. Playing hangman, writing the letters on little pieces of paper, mixing them up and trying to put them back in order. Next week in Alphabetique we are working on the soft and hard 'g' sound. And we will be doing a small writing project about our families.

English: We will be continuing to look at some homophones such as their, they're, and there, to, two, and too. We will be reading "There's a wocket in my pocket" and creating our own versions of that book.

Sciences: We will start looking at how humans and animals make sounds, and how we hear sounds as well.

Social Studies: We are continuing with some map skills, and are doing a small writing project about places we've visited in Canada.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
